I started wildlife photography on a trip to South Africa. I am passionate about both wildlife and the African continent. I enjoy the technical aspects of the process as much as the final product. Making my work available to others is a way to share the warmth and emotions Africa has to offer. I enjoy taking friends and family with me on this journey.
I favour private game reserves to allow for more flexibility and pick lodges that have a positive impact on animal welfare and local communities.
I donate 10% of my profits back to local community organisations.
Photography is complex and each photographer has their own way of producing and editing. I prefer doing as little post-production as possible. I leave my work as it is, simply because editing is a different discipline altogether.
I work with serendipity. And a lot of patience. I do not use trained animals, photography cages, or other set-ups to engineer my shots.
